Full Vehicle Detailing in Washington, NJ
Full Vehicle Detailing is our most complete package: a deep interior clean and a multi-stage exterior detail done in the same visit. It is the service we recommend when a car has gone a while without real attention, when you have just bought a used vehicle, or when you simply want everything reset at once instead of booking the inside and outside separately.
Every full detail is done by hand by Rob Torres inside our shop at 259 S Lincoln Ave in Washington, NJ. Working indoors means the paint is washed and protected out of direct sun and wind, and the interior is cleaned without dust blowing back in. Nothing is rushed through a tunnel or handed off to a crew. The same person who inspects your vehicle at drop-off is the one who details it.
The goal is straightforward. The cabin should look, feel and smell clean, and the paint, glass, wheels and trim should be decontaminated, glossy and protected. Because we also handle body repair and powder coating under one roof, anything we notice along the way (a chipped wheel, a scuffed bumper, faded headlights) can be pointed out and quoted while the car is already here.
- Interior deep clean & exterior detail
- Wheels, tires & trim dressed
- Paint decontamination & sealant
- Showroom-fresh finish inside & out
What's Included
Complete interior deep clean
Thorough vacuuming of carpets, mats, seats and cargo areas, followed by shampooing and hot-water extraction of fabric upholstery and carpet to lift ground-in dirt and stains.
Leather and hard surface care
Leather is cleaned with a dedicated leather cleaner and conditioned. Dashboards, door panels, consoles and cupholders are cleaned, and steam is used to loosen grime in seams, vents and tight corners.
Glass inside and out
All windows, mirrors and screens are cleaned for a streak-free finish so you get clear visibility day and night.
Multi-stage hand wash
A pH-neutral foam pre-soak and a two-bucket hand wash remove dirt safely, reducing the swirl marks that automated washes tend to leave behind.
Paint decontamination
Iron remover dissolves embedded brake dust and rail dust, tar remover handles road film and spots, and a clay treatment pulls out the bonded contamination that washing alone leaves behind.
Wheels, tires and trim
Wheel faces, barrels and lug areas are cleaned, tires are scrubbed and dressed, and exterior plastic and rubber trim is cleaned and dressed.
Sealant protection
A protective sealant is applied to the clean, decontaminated paint to add gloss, help water bead off and make future washes easier.
Our Process
- 1
Walkaround and inspection
When you drop off, we walk around the vehicle together, note problem areas like stains, odors or paint damage, and confirm what you most want addressed.
- 2
Interior first
The cabin is cleared out, vacuumed, extracted and steamed, then hard surfaces, leather and glass are cleaned and dressed. Doing the interior first keeps dust from settling on freshly finished paint.
- 3
Wheels and wash
Wheels and tires are cleaned with dedicated brushes and tools, then the body gets a foam pre-soak and a two-bucket hand wash, including door jambs and fuel door.
- 4
Decontaminate and dry
Iron and tar removers and a clay treatment leave the paint smooth to the touch. The vehicle is dried with soft towels and filtered air to limit drips and marks.
- 5
Protect and finish
Sealant goes on the paint, trim and tires are dressed, glass gets a final pass, and the whole vehicle is checked under shop lighting before we call you for pickup.
Options & Related Services
Maintenance details
Once your vehicle has had a full detail, lighter recurring visits keep it in that condition with less time and effort each time. Ask us what schedule makes sense for how you drive.
Pre-sale or lease-return detail
A full detail before listing a car or turning in a lease helps it present well in photos and at inspection. We can focus extra attention on the areas buyers and inspectors notice first.
Engine bay cleaning
A careful degrease and rinse of the engine bay, with sensitive components protected, followed by dressing of plastics and hoses for a clean, maintained look under the hood.
Headlight restoration
Cloudy, yellowed headlight lenses are wet-sanded, polished and sealed to restore clarity and improve night visibility.
Odor removal
For smoke, pet or spill odors, we can add targeted treatment after the deep clean to address the source rather than cover it up.
Paint Correction and Ceramic Coatings
A full detail is the ideal first step before Paint Correction to remove swirls and scratches, or before one of our Ceramic Coatings for longer-lasting protection. Pairing them saves duplicate prep work.
Why Appearance Plus
A full detail from Appearance Plus is hands-on work done by one experienced detailer in an indoor shop, not a quick wash with a vacuum pass. Rob takes the time to get into door jambs, seat rails, vents and wheel barrels, because those are the places that make a car feel truly clean. You deal directly with the person doing the work, so questions about your vehicle get a real answer.
We serve drivers in Washington, NJ and nearby towns across Warren, Hunterdon and Morris counties. Having detailing, body repair and powder coating in one shop means you have one trusted place to bring your vehicle for both routine care and bigger projects. You can book online or call (908) 894-8147.

What Customers Say
“Rob did an awesome job detailing our 2009 Honda Accord! We were getting ready to give the car to our son and wanted to get it cleaned up first. I honestly couldn't believe how good it came out. For a 17-year-old car, it looked amazing inside and out. You can tell Rob really takes pride in his work and pays attention to the details. We couldn't be happier with the job he did. Highly recommend!”
“This is the place to go if you need your car detailed!! Rob did such an amazing job. I had a mobile detailing service bail on me the morning of my appointment and Rob was able to squeeze me in the same day I called. He worked late into the night on my car and made sure my ride was looking pristine. Went above and beyond and even properly wired my dash cam for me. Highly recommend if you want great work done and good people looking after your car.”
“Vehicle was immaculate. Called and they got us in right away. Definitely highly recommend anyone who might be thinking of having their vehicle detailed. Well worth the cost. Thank you!”
Full Vehicle Detailing FAQ
How long does a full detail take?
It depends on the size of the vehicle and its condition. A well-kept sedan takes less time than a family SUV with heavy stains and pet hair. We give you a realistic timeframe when you book and confirm it after we inspect the vehicle at drop-off.
How much does Full Vehicle Detailing cost?
Pricing depends on vehicle size and condition, along with any add-ons you choose. Reach out online or by phone for a quote, and we will confirm it once we have seen the vehicle.
What is the difference between a full detail and a car wash?
A wash cleans the surface. A full detail deep cleans the interior with extraction and steam, removes bonded contamination from the paint, cleans wheels thoroughly and finishes with a protective sealant. It is a much more thorough reset of the whole vehicle.
Will a full detail remove scratches and swirl marks?
A full detail cleans and protects the paint and improves gloss, but it does not level the clear coat. Swirls and light scratches are removed through Paint Correction, which we can quote as an add-on after inspecting the finish.
Do I need to empty my car before dropping it off?
Please remove personal items, especially valuables, car seats and anything in the trunk. It lets us reach every surface and keeps your belongings safe.
How often should I get a full detail?
Many drivers book a full detail a couple of times a year, often in spring after road salt season and again before winter, with lighter maintenance visits in between. Your ideal schedule depends on how and where you drive.
