Interior Detailing in Washington, NJ
You spend far more time looking at the inside of your vehicle than the outside, and a cabin full of crumbs, stains, pet hair and dusty vents wears on you every drive. Interior Detailing at Appearance Plus is a full deep clean of the cabin: shampooed carpets and upholstery, cleaned and conditioned leather, steam-sanitized surfaces and streak-free glass.
The work is done by hand by Rob Torres in our indoor shop in Washington, NJ. That matters inside a car, where the difference between a quick wipe-down and a real detail is found in seat tracks, door pockets, air vents, seat belt buckles and the gaps around the console. Those areas get attention with brushes, steam and extraction rather than a spray and a towel.
Whether you are dealing with daily commuting grime, kids and sports gear, a dog that rides along, or a used car that came to you less than clean, an interior detail brings the cabin back to a fresh, cared-for condition you will notice every time you open the door.

What's Included
Thorough vacuuming
Carpets, mats, seats, crevices, under seats and the cargo area are vacuumed, with compressed air and brushes used to pull debris out of seams and tight gaps.
Carpet and upholstery shampoo
Fabric seats, carpets and floor mats are shampooed and cleaned with hot-water extraction to lift embedded dirt and stains and draw out the dirty solution.
Leather cleaning and conditioning
Leather seats and trim are cleaned with a dedicated leather cleaner to remove body oils and grime, then conditioned to help keep them supple.
Steam sanitizing
Steam is used on high-touch surfaces like steering wheels, shifters, door handles, cupholders and consoles to break down grime and sanitize without harsh chemicals.
Dash, panels and vents
Dashboards, door panels, consoles and trim are cleaned, and air vents are detailed with brushes and air. Surfaces are dressed with a clean, non-greasy finish.
Glass and screens
Interior windows, mirrors and screens are cleaned for streak-free visibility without harming screen coatings.
Our Process
- 1
Inspection and priorities
At drop-off we look over the cabin with you and note stains, odors, pet hair or problem spots so we know what matters most to you.
- 2
Clear out and dry clean
Mats come out, loose debris is removed, and the entire cabin is blown out and vacuumed from the headliner edges down to the carpet.
- 3
Deep clean fabrics and leather
Stains are pre-treated, carpets and upholstery are shampooed and extracted, and leather is cleaned and conditioned.
- 4
Steam and detail hard surfaces
Steam and detail brushes clean vents, seams, cupholders and controls, then dashboards and panels are wiped down and dressed.
- 5
Glass, drying and final check
Glass is cleaned, the cabin is left to air out so fabrics dry properly, and everything is checked before we let you know it is ready.
Options & Related Services
Pet hair removal
Embedded pet hair weaves into carpet and fabric and takes extra time and tools to remove. We can add focused pet hair removal when it is heavy.
Odor treatment
For smoke, pet, food or mildew odors, targeted treatment after the deep clean helps address the source of the smell rather than masking it.
Heavy stain and spill work
Coffee, soda, makeup and ink can need repeated treatment. Tell us about specific stains and we will let you know what is realistic after inspection.
Headliner spot cleaning
Headliners are delicate, so spots and marks are cleaned carefully by hand to avoid sagging or water marks.
Pair with Exterior Detailing
Add our Exterior Detailing, or book Full Vehicle Detailing, to have the outside hand washed, decontaminated and protected in the same visit.
Window Tinting
If you want to keep the cabin cooler and cut glare, ask about Window Tinting while the vehicle is at the shop.
Why Appearance Plus
Interior detailing is slow, detailed work, and it is easy to cut corners on the parts you do not see right away. At Appearance Plus, Rob handles each interior personally in an indoor shop, taking the time to extract fabrics properly, work steam into the tight spots and leave surfaces clean rather than shiny and slick. You talk directly with the person doing the work, so your concerns about a particular stain or smell do not get lost.
We work with drivers from Washington, NJ and nearby towns in Warren, Hunterdon and Morris counties, from daily commuters to family haulers and work trucks. Book online or call (908) 894-8147 to schedule.

What Customers Say
“Rob did an awesome job detailing our 2009 Honda Accord! We were getting ready to give the car to our son and wanted to get it cleaned up first. I honestly couldn't believe how good it came out. For a 17-year-old car, it looked amazing inside and out. You can tell Rob really takes pride in his work and pays attention to the details. We couldn't be happier with the job he did. Highly recommend!”
Interior Detailing FAQ
How long does an interior detail take?
It depends on the size of the vehicle and how much cleaning it needs. Heavy stains, pet hair and odors add time. We confirm the timeframe after inspecting the cabin at drop-off.
How much does Interior Detailing cost?
Pricing depends on vehicle size and condition, plus any add-ons such as pet hair or odor treatment. Contact us online or by phone for a quote, and we will confirm it after an inspection.
Will my seats and carpets be wet when I pick up?
Hot-water extraction pulls out most of the moisture, and we give fabrics time to dry at the shop. They may feel slightly damp in thicker areas, and a bit of airflow with the windows cracked finishes the job quickly.
Can you remove every stain?
Most everyday stains come out with pre-treatment and extraction. Some older stains, dyes or bleach damage may lighten but not disappear completely. We will tell you honestly what to expect after we look at them.
Is steam safe for my interior?
Yes, when used correctly. Steam is applied with the right attachments and distance for each surface, and it is kept away from sensitive electronics and delicate materials like headliners.
Do I need to remove my belongings first?
Please take out personal items, valuables and car seats before drop-off. An empty cabin lets us clean every surface, including under seats and in the trunk.
